I drove through the south yesterdayWest Virginia, Virginia, both Carolinas, and Georgia. I like to fiddle with the radio while I drive just to see whats out there. The last time I made this trip was four or five years ago and I heard an impressive lot of hate radio then. Yesterday I didnt run across any. Now this is just my experience, but I think its worth mentioning.
On the downside, hate radio seems to have been largely replaced with religion and snake oil.

(62,431 posts)and please no one tell me about NPR. They are about as bad as FUX anymore.
A few years ago Hubby and I drove round trip from Dulles airport to colonel Williamsburg for a vacation. The radio was awful. Fake Christian pastors and right wing radio. We finally found a static rock station but after that we vowed when we rented a car we would get Sirius in the car.
We have Sirius in both of our cars at home.

(22,144 posts)religion and snake oil will be around for a long time. I don't listen to the radio very much anymore. Too many commercials.
