Dear @realDonaldTrump: You pride yourself on being a great negotiator. You don't need to use a harmful government shutdown as a negotiating tactic. We can agree on many issues once you end your shutdown.

Have more confidence in your negotiating abilities. Reopen government.

MSNBC a little while ago and the main message is: We can't negotiate while the gov't is shut down, period.

It seems to be the team mantra as all of the House folks I've heard on any stream after the "speech" was based on that premise. No negotiations while gov't is closed, period.

I like it. I'm thinking the pressure will be so bad for Rs who are going home this weekend that by Wed or Thurs it might be open. And I'm expecting a big surprise around about Monday or Tuesday if not sooner.
