Covington is a suburb of Cincinnati .... across the Ohio River.

I'd be a lot more confident in spreading this video if there were conclusive proof they were the same kids, like a face that's in both videos.

Just fyi, there were kids from at least one other private catholic high school in Kentucky who attended the march, Owensboro Catholic High School. And it's co-ed (unlike Covington) which could explain the girls standing nearby.

I'm not asserting anything, btw. I'm just cautioning against jumping to conclusions. The kid is a creep either way.

Cincinnati isn't a tiny town. There are 22 school districts in Hamilton County alone - which doesn't even include Northern Kentucky.

FWIW, folks from N.KY don't consider themselves Cincinnati residents. When I grew up in Cincinnati, N.Ky was no different than any other city that wasn't Cincinnati. It was considered a different place with a different culture and accent even.

I expect they heard it from their priests.

evangelical. And they certainly weren't menacing in any way. In fact, if you stick it out to the end (ugh, that's 33 minutes of my life I'll never get back) you see the preacher stop ranting & actually engage with a second group of Catholic kids (they have "Hope" on their sweatshirts) in a discussion of the 10 commandments and the role of religious statues in a Catholic Church. Their point of view is still extreme, but everyone is speaking in a normal voice.

The poster above has been attempting to make the case the BHI folks are completely to blame and the Covington kids are being persecuted. Classic deflection technique. It seems like they think nobody notices.

if you ever go downtown in a big city you're familiar with kooks that set up on a corner & deliver their spiel at passersby. It's background noise. You pause if you want to listen to them and walk past them if you're not interested.

These guys did not budge from one spot. The kids began gathering around them. At some point they started to move in closer. The video is being shot by one of the Black Isrealites I think, and it shows people gathering to stand in back of them. The Covington kids start out listening, then later start getting rambunctious...one of them strips down to his shorts and leads the rest in a cheer, maybe their school cheer?... at one point there's a black kid with them...the preacher says "ah, the token" and addresses him a couple of times (this is when he uses the word "nigga" and do I really have to point out that black guys use this terminology with one another all the time? It's, like, an in-group thing? White people don't have any business being offended by the practice).

Sorry to ramble. No, the BHI were not to blame in any way. They were just doing what they do. The kids chose to engage.

And did they ask their chaperons first?

These CovCath kids just decided to air their own ignorance and privilege and whatever "adult" supervision was there allowed it. From what we are learning about them, that privilege runs deep and was not just a response to BI. We are learning they have a history of such offenses and that speaks volumes about the permissive diocese that allows such racism to fester.

I don't find the BI to be in any way credible, so I am far less offended by them. They are dismissible in their ignorance, say, garden variety deplorable. These CovCath kids are going to the white house to be hailed as rightwing heroes for their actions. That is about as privileged and ugly as it gets, truly "basket-grade," Trump era, post-kavenaugh deplorable.

They are growing up following in the skeazey footsteps of Comrade Dirty Donny, the deceitful and ignoble republican Draft-Dodger-in-Chief.

teenage boys should be bused on a school field trip to protest adult women’s control of their own bodies. This type of misogyny is taught at home and at schools like Covington and is the anthesis of Christianity. The result is perpetration of the rape culture shown on this video. I can’t imagine the teachings of Jesus encouraging rape under any circumstances, whether or not the victim is perceived to “enjoy it.”

Young women running into these guys on the street, thinking, "I better do something about spawning one of those assholes."
