and to also pressure McConnell to do his job.
I live in NC and am stuck with two Repub Senators. Normally, I don't bother to contact them. But I just sent both of them e-mails via their websites telling them it was time to tell McConnell to do his job and for them to do their job. I reminded them that they took an oath of office to support the Constitution, not an oath to one man. I told them it was unconscionable--and un-American-- to hold federal workers hostage, making them work for no pay. I told them they knew this was not how the system was to work. I told them most Americans do not support a wall and they know that, too.
I am really fed up with the Republican BS. I wish the air traffic controllers and TSA personnel would all just fu*king walk out.
This is all bull$hit. The Republicans are angry they lost the midterms, and this is their power grab. Fu*k em. If they don't re-open the government, they deserve whatever they get. Actions have consequences.

(4,187 posts)We should all write to our Senators and Representative. If theyre Republicans, to demand that they pass a clean budget, and if theyre Democrats, to tell them to continue to stand firm.

It could be time to suggest that 45 isn't capable of winning a second term. And do they really want to see a repeat of the mid-terms. Frame it as a possibility for a Republican to actually show some leadership, instead of a$$kissing the orange one.
