Is there a GOOD jazz trio?

Not a fan of jazz. Was once in a record store with second hand CD's. There was a "Used Jazz" section and "Used Gospel".

Aka, the guy who did all the music for Peanuts.

Trumpeter Wynton Marsalis and his father, jazz pianist, Ellis, released an album in 1995 called, "Joe Cool's Blues," where they covered a lot of the Peanuts songs as well as played some originals written in the style. In the liner notes, Ellis wrote about how he would make his kids watch the Peanuts specials because they had the best jazz you could find on TV at the time.

Always good to know who is acting on behalf of foreign dictators.

It's a lower percentage of Russiapublicans in the House than in the Senate.

Edit to add:
There are 42 Russiapublicans in the Senate -- they voted to enrich Deripaska and Putin.

and neither is the latest offering from Idaho's 1st District, Russ Fulcher. Gohmert's showing him the ropes while Russ is trying on the shoes of his predecessors, Steve Symms, Helen Chenoweth-Hage and Raul Labrador.

Idaho's 1st can do so much better, but they-just-never-do.

36. The Hill: Bernie Sanders calls for new NATO that includes Russia

Jan 2019

Are Republicans all that different from Bernie Sanders who skipped the recent Senate vote blocking the Trump administration from lifting sanctions on a Russian billionaire, and who also has a long history of criticizing NATO as wasting US tax dollars. Indeed, hasn't Bernie advocated for a fundamental change in NATO from a bulwark against Russian expansion to a group that includes Russia. Are Bernie's views on NATO all that different from Trump's?

https://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/260804-sanders-calls-for-new-nato-that-includes-russia

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) called for a new accord between America, its closest allies and Russia as well as Arab nations as a major plank on how to destroy the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

“We must create an organization like NATO to confront the security threats of the 21st century — an organization that emphasizes cooperation and collaboration to defeat the rise of violent extremism and importantly to address the root causes underlying these brutal acts,” the Democratic presidential candidate said Thursday during a speech at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

“We must work with our NATO partners, and expand our coalition to include Russia and members of the Arab League.”

NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, started at the doorstep of the Cold War and eventually became a major alliance against the then-Soviet Union. So accepting Russia into NATO, or creating a new defense group all together, would rearrange one of the world’s most powerful bonds by uniting the former rival countries around ISIS as the modern enemy.
