Review student expectations and explain how the students violated the school's code of conduct with their behavior. Maybe require a written apology and community service work.

Sandmann is not an innocent victim as far as I am concerned, but I am not comfortable with the violent tweets and death threats that have been directed his way. Hopefully, he will have learned something positive from this experience and will show greater sensitivity towards others in the future. Though the fact that he seems to be a big Trump supporter does not bode well. Fortunately, a lot can change with the right mentoring and guidance along the way, so one can hope for the best.

Blackface in ANY context in a mostly White school is offensive, and needs to stop. Why? Because of the overwhelming number of racists that reside everywhere. Because of the history of blackface. Wearing black clothes on blackout day? Fine.
