Obstruction!

I remember when Nixon (who had no connection to Charles Manson, of course-- he, unlike Trump, didn't fall in love with murderers) mentioned during the trial that he thought Manson was guilty. It wasn't some demand that Manson be found guilty -- he was actually criticizing the press (natch) for "glamorizing a murderer".

Next thing that happened, Manson was in the courtroom, holding up a newspaper with "Nixon: Manson Is Guilty" headline so the jury could see it. Almost got a mistrial.

Trump, of course, being only self-serving, obstructs only for himself.

But this didn't work with Manafort, and won't work now-- Mueller has too much on them. Trump clearly doesn't want to pardon these total sleazes this early-- very bad press-- so he can resort only to tweets about "respect."
"I respect a crook who doesn't rat on his boss!" (Imagine that in Marlon Brando's godfather accent.)
