Don't bash Democratic public figures
Do not post disrespectful nicknames, insults, or highly inflammatory attacks against any Democratic public figures. Do not post anything that could be construed as bashing, trashing, undermining, or depressing turnout for any Democratic general election candidate, and do not compare any Democratic general election candidate unfavorably to their general election opponent(s).

Why we have this rule: Our forum members support and admire a wide variety of Democratic politicians and public figures. Constructive criticism is always welcome, but our members don't expect to see Democrats viciously denigrated on this website. This rule also applies to Independents who align themselves with Democrats (eg: Bernie Sanders).

a fairly run Democratic Primary Process and wins the nomination he will get my vote as will the eventual Democratic nominee.

As mentioned he is not my current pick of a candidate but I agree with many of his points such as combating high prescription prices and medicare for all along with his discussions of the wealth gap and raising the minimum wage. I don't know if you support those ideas or not, but that is up to you.

If you prefer a different candidate please vote and support them. I for one do not fear a multitude of ideas or voices in what is hopefully a vigorous battle of ideas.

It is his choice to run and then his responsibility to make his case to garner support for his candidacy based upon his ideas and his record as it is for any of those who make the decision to run for this or any office. I have no problem with the concept, I hope that you do not either, but if so that likewise is your choice.

It's NOT TRUE that the Democratic party is "the party of the one-percent". It's NOT TRUE that there's "no difference between Democrats and Republicans." Bernie puts on his “Democratic suit” only for convenience. And the last two times that sanctions against Russia came up for a vote, he and Rand Paul were the only senators who voted “nay” (“To protect the Iran nuclear deal!”—yeah, right).

And just recently, he *oops!* missed the Russia sanctions vote altogether. Why? Russia is a hostile power that *does not* have ANY use for Western democracies and organizations like NATO. Russia also wages daily warfare against the U.S., using social media to manipulate the gullible (of which the U.S. sadly has no shortage).

I have zero confidence in this man. Next, please.

It would be better if he just endorsed Warren and stepped aside.

But of course he should run if he wants too.

I voted for him in the primary. Decent guy with a better chance of beating Trumpy. But Bernie's about as old as Trumpy. So is Biden. Come on, guys (Bernie and Joe). Give yourselves a rest. There are a host of younger politicians on the national stage who can attract a different and winnable demographic. In my opinion, both of you are about 10 years too late. It's okay. Most of us don't get what we want.

But I must say...what an Ego.

He has nothing new to offer. The progressive/liberal thought leadership is now firmly with people like AOC, Beto, etal.

Our party seems to be over trying to appease the republicans, and our freshman class can serve as a counterweight to the Manchin’s and Democratic middle of the roaders, with true progressives.

I believe we still need his voice, but we are now a more balanced (liberal wise) party.

decades long negativity Hillary carried into the race. That won't be there next time. Bernie never really went past his tired billionaires mantra, which he won't get away with this time. He's up against the best of the Democratic Party where he will have to project the dynamism of ideas, and energy, in a crowded field.

As a Democrat? Then I'd spell it ruining.

I wish I could lose weight that fast. I guess it's just the "male metabolism" that allows men to lose pounds faster than women.

This old thing ain't working for me!

Just know that you will almost certainly not be the nominee in 2020. There's just too much talent in the field already. You won't have Hillary to run against, either, so there's that, too. You failed to win the nomination in 2016. What makes you think you're in a better position now?

I think it's a mistake, Senator Sanders. Instead, why not keep your voice active in the Senate for the next two years, instead of wasting your time on a futile run for the Democratic nomination. We already decided not to nominate you before. Why would we change that decision now?

I don't think he has much of a chance in the talented field, but as long as he's not running 3rd party, let him run.

He might have some impact on the platform, including a push for single-payer health.

Like other politicians, he loves the campaigning part of politicing, perhaps more than any other part.

After all, it's mostly talking from a podium, without having to listen to anyone or anything but applause.

That's some strong juju.
