The next major defeat for Trump?

The House and Senate is preparing a committee to work on the border security issue. Neither Party wants another shutdown. But Donald Trump is still steaming from his latest humiliation and he wants revenge and reassurance for his supporters.

If the bi-partisan committee comes up with a solution to the border security issue, there is a good chance that Trump will veto it. That would be his big mistake.

His next humiliation would be the over-ride of his veto. That would be a very deep wound from which to recover.

But that may indeed be his next major defeat?"

He will. Nobody in DC really cares anymore. After the tantrum, you can give the kid some candy and forget about it.

First - there's a bill approved with no money for new walls, only replacements. McTurtle tells him he better sign it because repugs are NOT going to approve his shutdown and will override him if needed. He signs and concurrently signs a proclamation of a national emergency and says he'll transfer $7.5 million from Hurricane recovery to his wall. Courts say no, no, no - no national emergency exists so he loses again. The only question is will SCOTUS go with donors and legislators or drumpf/PUtin, and that's a huge question we absolutely can't take for granted.
