(115,735 posts)but his time as a possible president has come and gone. He and especially some of his supporters have created too much division; I hope he gets a clue that he's not viable this time and throws his support behind another progressive candidate.

(23,105 posts)I like a lot of his policy ideas which is what attracted me to him in the first place. However, his misogynism has become known as well as the fact the voted against the Magnitsky Act, didn't pay women as well as men on his campaign and didn't release his tax returns and went back to being an Independent as soon as he wasn't the nominee.
Hope he goes nowhere this time and drops out quick. Don't need him sucking the air out of Liz Warren's campaign. I love her Wealth Tax so she's surged to the front for me.

He is talking about democratic women.
He should be leveling the charges against Trumpass.
I am so damn sick of it.

Which opponents said that? Nobody

(15,124 posts)On top of everything else, he will be 78 in 2021. I'm 66, in good shape physically, keep my mind sharp (I AM a DUer!) and there's no way I could handle the intense pressure of that office. I like his policies and I like the conversations we have had and are having about them. But even his hometown paper asked him not to run. What is this about?? Why is he doing this?? The 2018 election showed us that the Democratic Party is moving away from old white guys and towards a new progressive inclusive vision.
Sorry, Bernie, but this is a shitty thing to do.
BTW, where are YOUR tax returns?

(15,124 posts)Although I thought about who might be vice president if Senator Warren or Harris became our nominee, realizing that foreign policy might not be a strong suit for either of them, (remember that Barack chose Joe for that reason, among others) how about John Kerry for VP? He is 75 right now, but wouldn't he be an interesting choice to fill in that blank spot. Hillary could fill that void too, but I'm not going there.

(15,124 posts)I look at Orrin Hatch and Chuck Grassley and how their brains don't work so well any more. I'm not saying over 80 you might as well just go and die, but I am saying that the intensity of these jobs is very hard on an old body - if it's done properly. Not so with The Orange One because he doesn't do the job at all! Think about Bill Clinton and Barack Obama (sigh) staying up all night reading all of the briefs they were provided by IC.
Please don't do this, Bernie!

(63,221 posts)He has completely lost me. I just wish he would go away. I am sick of him and his massive ego. It's not that he doesn't have some good ideas, but he's not the ONLY one who has some good ideas, and just like Trump, he seems to think that he alone can save us.

Our good fortune is that 95% of voters that democrats can reach with sound arguments would not be in such an audience. That 95% is by far much larger and helps us win elections.

He is a Bro.
Is something wrong with him? He seems to be losing it and spending a bit too much time broadbrushing and making up bullshit about minorities and women.
I dont like disliking him like this. Ive always tried to look at the good in him. Is he going to start writing again?
