Who else is tired of the Media talking about Trump's base.

That sales pitch is so bogus. It seems that when some Reporter does his or her Stand-up,it always includes a theme of "his Base". How about talking about how ignorant the base is or how about what just happened with all those Millions of people who were just smacked financially for the last month .

I digress, should know better, all about the major topic over Cocktails at Trump's Hotel down the street.

2. All politicians worry about their 'base'...

it's just that Trump's base has been inflated into some kind of boogeyman.

He is still a minority president, always was.

The Dem base grew mightily in 2018, might grow more by 2020. Repubs are .

Most are racist. We don’t want them.

Democratic party needs to run on what we can do for working families.

4. GOP voters make up about 30% of the population. Now, maybe less.

About 70% of GOPers approve of Trumpy. So 70% of 30% is... around 21%.

So... the controlling political force in the nation that's called the GOP and which supports the current president adds up to about 21% of the voting population. That's not majority rule, for certain, but it does show that the majority party in the Senate and the Executive Branch is supported by only 21% of the population: Trumpy's "base". THAT, my friends, can be credited to corporate and corporate media influence on the national political discourse. The national perception is that the GOP is much more popular than 21%. But it's NOT.

Trump's approval rating in the 2018 midterm national House exit poll was 45%. It was 45% approve and 54% disapprove. The 538 compilation approval number on election day was 41.8%.

That is why the base discussion is proper. Trump is more popular among people who actually vote and decide elections than he is among the American population in general. I have had recent private messages here and on other sites relating to this topic. Not sent from me. Sent to me regarding this matter. From very sharp posters. They understand the bottom line, and that the adjustments here always take the GOP base and Trump's approval rating lower than the compilation numbers, when in actuality the adjustment needs to be several points upward.

Even if Trump is at 39.3% today on 538, the ballot box reality would be at least 42% approval. That's why it is so critical to keep his approval low and not inching upward into the mid 40s. We are stuck in a razor tight election is he moves up to let's say 44% consensus approval, because that exit poll approval number is going to be 47% or even 48%.

Hispanics have decisive tendency to allow benefit of a doubt to the incumbent. I worry that is one proper adjustment that our party leaders are not aware of. As a gambler I have to track that type of situational aspect. Any evaluation that looks at 2020 numbers the same as an open race or midterm is missing the big picture.

Farm Country. This is where the News Media should spend more time. The Wheels are coming off the wagon in a major way. All that so called Tariff relief went to the Grain Trading Companies. Only a small group of Growers actually received anything other than a few cents per Bushel of marketed Grain. Sounds like those who had so called Shares in a Ethanol and Bio Diesel Plants are getting some what close to promised replacement losses. Other than those few,the rest are more than nervous. Oh btw, corn is selling at roughly a dollar plus less than replacement cost.

But I think the media wants to interview them because they can’t imagine how anyone could still support him. They are confused people who look stupid when they say they still support the orange maggot. To the media these people are freaks and they present them to us as freak show performers.
