need more substance. It's certainly too early to 'pick sides,' as there's no way to know at this time how many sides there will be, and who will be there/here.

Welcome to DU.

4. I think thats a symptom of the biggest problem Bernie is going to have

He's going to have a problem expanding his support beyond his base because he seems to dismiss any issues that are not front and center for him (i.e. economic inequality) as not worthwhile issues. At best he comes off as seeing them as distractions, at worst as cynical ploys to drum up votes. A real leader, particularly a leader of the diverse Democratic coalition, needs to be able to credibly address the concerns of all members of that coalition. His attention is too laser focused, and I don't think that's a quality that is really desirable in a presidential candidate, or a president. I think he's best suited in the Senate, where we need strong fighters on many different issues, but we've got many different people to serve as advocates, so it's more desirable to specialize.

13. His time was last time. He doesn't stand a chance this cycle.

And the base you refer to isn't really his base this time around.

A hefty chunk of the people who supported him in the '16 primary, myself included, would have supported someone else if someone else was in the race. To put it simply, there's a whole lot of someone-elses available this time.

I'm not sure he can hold onto a big enough percentage of his '16 support to even equal the ass-whooping he received last time.

Early? With a huge field? Maybe.

Later? Not a chance.

if he continues to hide his own tax returns.

Nobody who hides their financial status will get my vote.

Any of the good liberal progressive Democrats who are revealed to be viable by the primaries will be far, far better than any Republican.

I do, however, expect to eye with great suspicion before then all those who are promoted by our own right wing machine and/or the Russians'.

Nothing else matters if all the world’s economies are ruined due to oceans rising which will cause a worldwide refugee crisis the which the world has never seen and food and water shortages which will kill millions.

How important will Wall Street be whenmthese things start happening, especially right here in our country?
