This was my first time ever to get polled on a national election. It was a real person asking the questions, not machine generated.
It seemed pretty well balanced except that they always gave Romney/Ryan as the first choice in the selections. Otherwise the questions were just who do you prefer, who would do a better job on health care, foreign affairs, etc.
They asked if I had made my decision on the presidential election and if I would change my mind.
It took about 8-10 minutes to answer all the questions.

It did not seem to be a push poll.

(36,974 posts)I've heard or read that if you ask a person a question and you have say three choices that someone equally likes such as: "What would you like with dinner tonight? Corn, broccoli, or green beans?" the person will pick the LAST choice given the majority of the time.
I use that trick quite a lot and put the choice I want the person to pick at the end of the question, and it works most of the time

(18,219 posts)I have never known or heard of anyone who has been polled before. Glad to hear that there are real people, and some of them are even Democrats.

(3,687 posts)Wonder why they would ask a question for which they already know the answer?

(12,647 posts)At the end of the poll, the person asked if they could put me on a list to be called again for future polls. I expressed surprise at his question since Gallup claims they call randomly.
