They can't beat them at the ballot box, so they'll force them to beat themselves. They know the treatment will be lopsided, so they're going to dig up dirt on every Dem they can, and then step aside and let the Dems eat their own. They saw how quickly the Dems railroaded Franken out of office, and they're going to try to do the same to every Dem they can. Northram is just the latest. He won't be the last.

Snip from Crooks & Liars article....

The photo was released earlier today by Patrick Howley, formerly of Breitbart and The Daily Caller, and currently with right-wing site Big League Politics. UPDATE: Howley also worked for Roy Moore.

This follows 48 hours of right-wing manufactured outrage over remarks Northam made on late-term abortions, a topic which Fox News has been flogging hourly in order to stoke up some wedge issues to reunite Trump's fractured base.

Where is the outrage on election transparency? This is sickening. McConnell should be ridiculed endlessly for his remarks saying that more people voting is throwing elections to Democrats. McConnell is admitting they are suppressing the vote. Where is the outrage?

Imagine if REPUBLICANS could arouse this level of moral outrage for Trump.

Dems have proven that it only takes an offensive, morally reprehensible past or present act to engage our outrage...and we act upon it.

This has always been about Republicans not doing the right thing. Always.

He's a legitimately elected Governor. It's not up to outsiders to try to oust him, IMO, unless they go through the VA system.

If the people of Virginia don't want him, they can get rid of him.

I don't sanction torpedoing elected officials in states other than one's own. It's undemocratic. If he IS racist, which I don't know (although I'm waiting for a better explanation of that picture), Virginians are legally allowed to vote for him anyway.

But it's sick that Northam didn't address this before, so it wouldn't be a big issue now. Either voters would have accepted it and forgiven him and elected him, or maybe they would have rejected him.

Donald Trump called Nazis “fine people.”

Right wingers post fake naked pictures of AOC.

Democrats immediately demand the resignation of someone who did something 35 years ago and apologized for it.

King is doing and continuing to do this in 2019.

Northem was 24 years old and 35 years ago.

Also, it appears that Northem has dedicated the better part of his life to service and working on issues of equality for all.

Not defending what he did, but his life and record on issues of importance to truly forming a more perfect union in our country should mean more than a disgusting photo from 35 years ago.

It's truly amazing what republicans can get away with in this country. Actually, it's disgusting. I honestly can't believe most of these politicians are still in office given their abominable behavior around this issue. The difference is that the republican base approves of it, while the Democratic base does not.
