I have been thinking of Northam today

And I admit I was on the fence for a few. I like to believe people can change. That being said, as a gay woman, I read a post on Facebook from someone who was commenting on one of the KC Cheifs player's outfits who said "can he get any gayer?" That pissed me off so much. Why is "looking gay" wrong? It's 2019? Why are people so awful?
And then I realized how awful it was for someone to dress in blackface or kkk hoods. I get it now. I don't care that it was 1984. It was wrong. End of story.
I was in a sorority in college and we never would have have done that. Ever. The only controversial thing I remember going to was a frat party "white trash bash" and I felt bad about that. Being in college is not an excuse.
Racism is racism. Homophobia is homophobia. I don't care what era you grew up in, everyone deserves the right to be respected and it isn't ok to make fun of them.

He has to go. If we don't stand up for what is right, we are just as bad as the fuckwads we oppose

He was 25 and in med school. His actions not only show extremely poor judgment, which might be excused in youth but extreme carelessness and disregard for the rights and suffering of others.
