has a tough time with that. Northam will be the lead story for at least a week. His resignation will make it last only one more news cycle, but his hanging on will drag it out for possibly most of the next two years.

Hang him around the dems necks and make us the racist party at the SOTU

The GOP'ers in the Virginia legislature will bring up a resolution in their respective houses to call for Northam to resign, and put Democratic legislators on the spot. Either they vote with the GOP on the resolution, or they can kiss African-American support goodbye in this year's election.

It's all about depressing progressive turnout in 2020. And expect the Rethuglicans to do that everywhere we hand them an opportunity to do so.
