Release of Dump's tax returns, arrest of Dump Jr., anything to make Ancient Orange so apopleptic that he'll shriek like Hitler and spend an hour accusing everyone else for all of his shortcomings.
Let's see what his base would think of that shitshow.

(2,580 posts)Can we get some Dems at the SOTU to hold up small signs with that plea every time Mango Mussolini prevaricates ?
Pelosi, sitting right behind him, would be best but I doubt she'd go for it.

(16,929 posts)Tuesday - Mr. Mueller unleashes a load of indictments against bunches of people, including Biff (Donald Jr.), Eric, Ivanka, Jared (NOT the Subway one!), Mitch, and, what the hell, Cubby Ryan!
Bet THAT would produce an interesting SOTU!

(86,661 posts)Pence and Kushner being arrested as the impotus enters the chamber, he loses it on live teevee in front of the entire government and everybody who can stomach watching and they have to remove him from the dais and our Speaker, Nancy Pelosi steps up and is sworn in as president. Now that would be some awesome shit and super perfect timing.

(12,586 posts)We know the networks are obligated to show the Democratic rebuttal, but what if the DNC paid for about 15 minutes of ad time just before Trump begins speaking to show his lies and do a pre-SOTU fact check?
"Citizens of the United States of America, I am here to give you a preview of President Trump's State of the Union address, which will begin in a few minutes.
"The first thing Mr. Trump will do is to claim responsibility for the gains in our nation's economy, even though nearly 80 per cent of those gains accrued to the top one per cent of the population. He will not mention that for most Americans wages have remained stagnant or even declined during his presidency. Nor will he mention that under his presidency the number of children who go to bed hungry has increased from one in five
"He will argue that under his presidency the nation has the greatest military in history. What he won't tell you is that it takes many years to change the course of the military, and just saying something is true does not make it so. We have a great military because Mr. Trump inherited the one built up over decades by his predecessors.
"Mr. Trump will argue that a state of emergency exists at the border. Why didn't it exist when his party controlled both houses of Congress? Mr. Trump will argue that increased trade with Mexico will pay for the wall. Not a single economist agrees with this statement.
"Mr. Trump will state that he has made the world from North Korea's nuclear weapons. His own intelligence agencies disagreed publicly with that assessment. Mr. Trump will say that Iran is a nuclear threat. His own intelligence agencies disagreed publicly with that assessment. Mr. Trump agrees with Mr. Putin that Russia made no attempt to influence our 2016 elections, publicly taking the side of our greatest adversary against his own country's intelligence agencies.
"Mr. Trump has separated more than a thousand children from their parents at the border, and now his administration admits most of the families will never be reunited. In fact, Mr. Trump has callously said to do so would be traumatic to the children. He has demonstrated that he just does not care about the greatest humanitarian crisis in our country -- one that he himsef created.
"Mr. Trump will most likely declare a national emergency during his State of the Union speech. This is an extraordinary action by a president who is unable to convince even his own party to allocate funds to build a 14th century wall that nearly two thirds of Americans do not want.
"Mr. Trump has been documented to have told more than 8,000 lies since taking office. Mr. Trump's speech will contain lies, innuendo, threats and exhibit why he is considered by many professionals in the intelligence agencies and State Department to be the greatest threat to the United States.
"And now, here is the president to present his State of the Union address."
