Patriots player: I won't visit White House, but it 'would be dope' to meet Obama instead
By Avery Anapol - 02/04/19 09:07 AM EST
New England Patriots player Duron Harmon said that he wont visit President Trumps White House to celebrate the teams Super Bowl win.
Speaking to TMZ Sports after the Patriots win against the Los Angeles Rams, Harmon said he wouldnt join his teammates for a visit.
He did, however, acknowledge it would be dope to meet former President Barack Obama, like the Golden State Warriors did earlier this year.
We love you over here, man, Harmon said, referring to Obama.

(8,445 posts)I often think, "Yeah, someone already said that on DU." when I hear them tell a joke like that one.
with this White House, the jokes tend to write themselves.

(67,782 posts)...and two years ago trump had only been in office for two weeks, the lies hadn't started flowing freely.
The Eagles trip was cancelled last year because most of the players decided not to go. The Red Sox haven't been there yet, but Alex Cora isn't sure he'll go if they ever schedule a trip.

(31,261 posts)All except Brady went after they beat the Seahawks and President Obama was President, Belichick even went to the Correspondents Dinner after the visit as a guest of President Obama. Brady had a previously scheduled endorsement trip and would not cancel, easy to understand when he makes around $15 million per year from endorsements, about the same as his salary for playing.

(16,396 posts)I figure this is a good time to mention Tom Brady hasnt uttered a kind word about Drumpf in at least three years, his wife stated publicly they dont support him and he skipped the last trip to the WH when they won the SB in 2016. Whole lotta people around here need to get current with their data. Have a lovely day.

(28,341 posts)perhaps a couple people might give a flip. Till then, he is still MAGA. He publicly endorsed this racist, unhinged travesty over sane, informed, competent leadership and he's stuck with it.

(12,213 posts)If the team I stood for had a player who backed Trump, I would NOT continue to (at least verbally) back that team until said player was out of the picture. I used to root for the Pats. My friends are all from RI and love the team. I cannot, until they rid themselves of Brady, or if Brady comes out and denounces Trump.
