If he makes it to 2020, I'm not sure that I see a clear path to re-election, esp. with an energized Democratic Party (there's no reason to believe they won't be at this point). He will probably win handily in red state bastions (no surprise) and get the votes of his loyalist "base" of deplorables, but I don't think that he will win the states that he very narrowly won in 2016. I would like to think that enough people- outside of his base- are tired of his routine, tired of the chaos, and believe him to be irredeemable/ineducable at this point and will either stay home or pull the lever for anybody else.

He will talk about how he has accomplished more than any other President in history, all the jobs he has created, how he is improving the trade deficit, how terrorists are pouring across our border, how he building miles and miles of "wall" to stop them, how good the economy is, unless it goes into recession, in which case he will blame it all on Nancy Pelosi and democrats, etc.

Its going to be more of the same old shit. Its all he knows.

he will run on the economy which is what presidents always do. Sure the economy is thanks to Obama, but Americans have notoriously low attention spans and can't remember (it seems) what happened last year. Yes, the economy would be the only thing he could possibly run on.

he's going to run on having the most successful 3 1/2 years ever of any president, king, dictator, emperor, savior, pope, or whatever you want to call them in human history.

Jobs, better than ever. Unemployment, better than ever. Stock market, better than ever. Relations with Russia, better than ever. ISIS, Al Qaeda and MS-13 all defeated, coal jobs coming back, steel plants opening all over, etc, etc.

Sure, it won't be true, but that won't stop him from spewing the BS to fire up his base.
