Texas Republican buried in mockery after attacking Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez with hilariously bad Super Bowl-themed tweet
Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) has been described as the GOPs answer to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) but he got thoroughly roasted by his fellow freshman.
The Texas Republican applied Ocasio-Cortezs proposal for a 70 percent marginal tax rate to the Super Bowl-winning New England Patriots, and the New York Democrat and scores of other social media users let him have it.
Should someone propose a 70% tax on the Patriots so that NFL competition is more fair and equal? Crenshaw tweeted. Asking for a friend.Link to tweet
Ocasio-Cortez replied to Crenshaws tweet to point out that her proposal wouldnt apply to most NFL players, and jabbed team owners who refuse to sign free-agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick over his protest of racism and police violence.

The average NFL salary is $2.1 million, so most players would never experience a 70% rate.
The owners who refuse to hire Kaepernick would, though.Link to tweet

Ir;s disgaceful - that's the socialism no one needs.

This is at least the second time Dan Crenshaw has said something only to have twitter expose the foolishness of his comments. I prefer Matthew Yglesias' response to Crenshaw's tweet. Yglesias pointed out that there was a salary cap and help for team that performed poorly. In another instance Crenshaw tweeted that if the Republican Party had not lost control of Congress it was unlikely that the country would be experiencing a shutdown. It was then pointed out to him that the shutdown started while Republicans were still in control of Congress. However, Crenshaw's talking points seem to be par for the course for Republicans. These are the same people who constantly ask if we should regulate cars the way Democrats want to regulate gun, only to be told we actually regulate cars how Democrats want to regulate guns.

However, when they got out in public they prove that they are a dumb as those that elected them.
