which it sounds like he's saying, I don't have a big problem with it - other than a concern that this sort of thing shouldn't just casually be thrown out there but should be done in very carefully thought out ways if they are to be a teaching moment.

personally, i think the context is pretty far from soul-searching confession.

watch him again. I don't care the color of the person he says he wanted to murder, and frankly I don't even care if it's all a phony bid for attention.

I was beginning to think it was only me that had deal breakers.

Confessing he wanted to kill a person because his friend was raped is a deal breaker for me. That he targeted black people is particularly offensive - I am sick and tired of being held responsible for acts committed by someone who looks like me.
