Gatewood Gailbraith, Ky politician and Hemp advocate died last night

Gatewood was apparently found dead in his bed this morning in Lexington Ky. He had been suffering from a respiratory illness for some time. He was a tireless advocate for the people and a national player in the Hemp Legalization movement. He had recently run as an independent in the KY Governor's race and finished with 8+% fo the total vote, after polling much higher before the election. I remember when he had a radio show on Saturday afternoons in Lexington back when I was stuck at work then. I would always tune it because whether you agreed with him or not he was always interesting and thought provoking.

I didn't know him personally but he was so recognizable! It was just a few weeks ago I think that I saw him having brunch at Good Foods, where I would see him every so often.

Sigh, sad deal, he was a real person and used his voice, rest his soul.

Great speaker and debater.
Did not agree with his politics and he knew it but he was always a nice guy.

The Paddock & High on Rose crowd gets smaller every year.
