Higher taxes on the rich polling well? Fox Business host blames 'the idea of fairness' that's being

taught in schools

Fox News ran this graphic on Tuesday morning showing how the public is “increasingly on board with raising taxes on the rich.”

As the hosts expressed their bafflement over the results of the poll, Charles Payne, host of Fox Business’s “Making Money,” chimed in as follows:

‘The idea of fairness has been promoted in our schools for a long time, and we’re starting to see kids who grew up with this notion of fairness above all. Now, they’re becoming voting age, and they’re bringing this ideology with them.’

In other words, America’s youth have been taught fairness is somehow an ideal we should strive for, not some flimsy argument to justify soaking the rich.

Or, as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted in response, “Just wait until they find out about the Golden Rule.”
