Pelosi treated Trump like a misbehaving teenager last night. Just ask her daughter.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s subtle facial expressions during President Trump’s State of the Union were more withering than anything she said after.

When she pursed her lips, extended her arms and clapped in Trump’s direction, no one had to guess what she was thinking. Her sarcastic smirk was biting in a way words never could be.

As a mother and grandmother, Pelosi (D-Calif.) has mastered the art of conveying disappointment or scorn with a simple glance. What child hasn’t been completely destroyed by a disappointing look from her mother?

That clap turned meme made the speaker’s own daughter Christine Pelosi recall how her mother could discipline without saying a word.

#waybackwednesday - oh yes that clap took me back to the teen years. She knows. And she knows that you know. And frankly she’s disappointed that you thought this would work. But here’s a clap. #youtriedit

Can someone reduce the size of this photo so that we can use it as an avatar.

Using just my cell phone doesn't give me the capacity to manipulate the size of photos.

Here's another version that'd be nice too:

observe how discipline was metered out back in the day. Facial expressions with hand gestures were a sign, buddy of girly you are getting close to the edge and this is a warning.

I used it when needed and certain activities ceased immediately. At times I would use it on random teenagers in public and it worked. It’s very powerful.

When I was a waitress and was taking the order from families the children always looked at mom to see if they could have what they wanted. The slightest nod or shake was all that was needed.

Gramma Mary had the toughest steely look, even her adult kids got the message. The whole room just went quite like yesterday.

His father packed him off to a military academy for a reason. He was probably untrainable.

The stare from a prison warden might be more effective.

Trump and Peter Brant would take the subway into Manhattan without their parents knowing, Blair said. (Trump mentioned taking the F train near his home in a New York Times interview.)

The two would go to a magic store on West 49th Street and Broadway, according to Blair. "There they bought stink bombs and smoke bombs and plastic vomit," she wrote. "Another favorite was hot peppered gum, which they gave to unsuspecting schoolmates. After seeing 'West Side Story,' they became fascinated with switchblades."

When his father found the switchblades, Trump was sent to the New York Military Academy, Brant said in Blair's book.
