(82,849 posts)So the Mighty Republican Wurlitzer will likely sit this one out, as it did in 1996 and 2008. They'll still emit their mean little squirts of bile from time to time, but as far as presidential politics go, they're pointing to 2016.

(20,450 posts)and ALEC. He is working behind the scenes to affect turnout at the state level. And with Citizens United, he can create multi-PACs, in addition to American Crossroads, to fend off Democrats. He wants a permanent Republican majority, and if it means that he must endure Obama, he'll make damn sure that it'll be harder for Obama to get anything done if the House, Senate, state legislatures, governorships and judges are all Republican.
