Animals are smart. They know who to trust and who not to trust. You can learn a lot from animals. If a person treats animals bad, they are a shitty person.

They are just needy objects to him. Is it any wonder that he's OK with trophy hunting African big game?

Dogs require love and attention from their human masters. Trump is incapable of that.

Otherwise, why would he need to have all these rallies where he's surrounded by people who tell him how great he is? And why do his lies about the size of his rallies get bigger and bigger? It's almost as if he's trying to prove that he is lovable by using external metrics.

Many, many psychology students will earn their doctorates with dissertations written about this man-child.

Trump is the first modern president not to have a dog — or any pet — in the White House.

America’s first president, George Washington, set the tone by breeding foxhounds. In recent decades, Ronald Reagan had Rex; George H.W. Bush had Millie; Bill Clinton had Buddy; George W. Bush had Spotty, Barney and Miss Beazley; and Barack Obama had Bo and Sunny.

The last president not to have a dog was William McKinley, who served from 1897 until his assassination in 1901. But even he had pets — a parrot and roosters.

“Theodore Roosevelt sometimes would have over 30 pets in the White House because the president had such a love of God’s creatures,” said presidential historian Douglas Brinkley, who authored a Roosevelt biography.

Brinkley suggested that Trump has no pets “because he has no sense of giving and warmth and caring to any other animal but himself. Having no pet is another manifestation of his narcissism.”

Brooke Janis, who co-authored “First Dogs,” a book about presidential pets, recalled the adage often attributed to former president Harry S. Truman, “If you want a friend in Washington, get a dog.”

“This is a president who needs a friend,” Janis said of Trump. “Having a dog offers unconditional love, and that is something that this president desires so deeply and can’t seem to find.”

Can you imagine how he feels? They can't shelter him from what the world thinks about his father.

I told my husband "I knew there was a reason i hated that btard, and I just found out why! He hates dogs." I'm a bit surprised he hasn't gotten bit by a dog, or many dogs, over the years. I bet if he decided to get a dog to appear to be a better president, he'd never find one that would like HIM!

I have always trusted my dogs to be a great judge of strangers. If they don't like somebody, I don't pursue any kind of relationship with that person. If they do like them, we usually end up being friends.

Many times, I find out later, the person my dogs didn't like demonstrate they aren't good people.

He can't con them , and they can't give him payoffs with money, and they won't obey him , and he knows they'll attack him at some point. He doesn't have the capacity to have compassion for anything else but himself.
