Only 30% of America wants to control and if necessary kill women for controlling their own bodies

that is the good news

Bad news is the 23% who want women punished, executed maybe, for controlling their own bodies, they almost ALL vote.

edit to read 23% (I had originally incorrectly put in 30%)...when we figure half of us dont vote, if all 23% vote, bad news.

were pro abortion and almost a quarter of Democrats or so are anti abortion, don't remember the exact #s. Pew does "gold-standard" studies and won't be far off reality at worst.

That's actually lower than I expected.

It's interesting to note that the percentage of people who don't want Roe overturned has increased as red states have passed more and more draconian abortion restrictions. So much for following the will of the populace.

23% oppose, almost all of them vote.

If half of the rest of the population votes, well that makes it close.

Ridiculous, should NOT be a popular vote as to whether or not I can FORCE my will on a woman's body.

their voters a long time ago as it shifted to serving the very wealthy and doing what they had to keep loyal the hard-core social/religious conservatives whose fears and passions power their engine. Less extreme cons have been kept allied, though, by the belief that their first duty is to save America from liberalism.

Pathetically, the Tea Party and Trump were both attempted rebellions against the Republican "establishment," though. Now they and their betraying "establishment" are all committed to an increasingly authoritarian leader. What next? The Kochs have always claimed to be libertarian, a gloss over criminal behaviors, but dad of course was a big Third Reich admirer.
