All canidates of all parties and or no party need to show their tax returns

and where all their contributions came from.. we cannot afford to have outside parties mucking around in our elections.. They do not care who wins.. they want to bring our government down.. there is no reason in this world or the next not to open the books on any campaign..

Edit to add... You know Trump is up to his ears in something because he has refused to release his info..

The major parties could make primary rules that force their candidates to release their returns. Otherwise, they cannot participate in the primaries or party-sponsored debates.

There's nothing in the Constitution that requires disclosure of personal financial information. A sweeping federal requirement would probably require a Constitutional Amendment. Why do that?

Leave it to the parties themselves. If one party, say the Republicans, refuse to hold their candidates to this standard, it provides a potent political weapon to the other party. If both parties agree to this standard, a candidate like Trump could not ascend through the primary system.

Thanks for your OP, Peacetrain.

It's about transparency. If they don't want to show their tax returns they have something to hide. trump won't show his.. the Democratic Party members will.

Biden, Peacetrain. I don't have the one candidate yet, either. It's too early for me.. but I'm glad they're all getting out there so we have lots of time to learn and choose.

The most important thing we can do is nominate the Democratic candidate who will beat trump.

Need to agree with her and also demand that anyone wanting to run as a Democrat follow Warren's lead and do the same, 10 years at least. I still don't think Bernie would do it, but the challenge would put a lot of pressure on him to explain why not even if he doesn't. His supporters don't seem to care for some reason!

and put it as a challenge for all the POTUS primary candidates to do the same.

I can't imagine anyone not doing this.. we shall see about BS.

Like I said before.. it's about transparency.. it doesn't matter if his supporters don't care.
