I wish I had his email to send him a message of support. I often wonder on these appreciation threads if the person being appreciated ever sees them; if maybe someone they know forwards the thread to them. I feel a strong desire to express appreciation to him.
I have been very impressed with him in all the interviews I've heard and feel that what he is bringing out could (hopefully) be a game-changer. He comes across so rational, calm and thoughtful, and is highly articulate. One of the things that has struck me is how very much FBI and intel people give of themselves, often at cost to their personal lives, and sometimes at great cost.
Edited to add: listening to him on Chris Hayes just now, he also displayed a great deal of empathy. On Colbert last night, he was quite funny, in a very dry way. He interviews extremely well, which makes him really effective in conveying his message.

I put 20 dollars on his fundme site when he was first fired because he would need bucks for legal fees. I think he got a million in 48 hours, thanked everyone and took down the request. I bet he was amazed on how much we regular folks knew what happened to him.

To smear him out of his pension was so petty and so Trump. He'll get it when the Dems take back the White House.

(3,335 posts)Perhaps if those of us who believe that he has been treated unfairly by the OrangeMan, were to write a letter to the MSPB, it might have an impact on his appeal. I think the guy is very credible and we know that OrangeMan had everything to do with his firing. Also,we all bear witness to how the Orangeman treated him before he was fired and how the Orangeman showed his vindictiveness by speaking ill of McCabe's wife, at a time when McCabe could not freely and address the sicko back. McCabe stated in one of his interviews that Trump asked him how it felt to have a loser for a wife. He's been consistent in his responses during his TV interviews, and I can't imagine what it's like to be in that situation knowing your President is a traitor to his country, and he's coming after you next.
According to the info below, it seems that the current MSPB board only has one Board Member currently, and that info might not be correct. That Board Member was appointed by President Obama, and confirmed by Trump. I intend to send a letter addressed to:
Current Board Members of the MSPB at the following Wash DC address:
Where to File. A petition for review must be filed in writing with the Clerk of the Board. This can be done via e-Appeal, by fax (202) 653-7130, or by postal mail or commercial or personal delivery at 1615 M Street, NW, Washington, DC 20419.
I think a letter would carry more weight than a fax since someone would have to print out the faxes and I would rather they didn't have to. Wouldn't it be nice if DU would bombard them with tons of letters? I think it would be worth the cost of a postage stamp and it would show that we are standing behind the workers, not Trump.
Let me know what you guys think.
What is the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB)?
The federal Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) exists to protect the rights of federal civil service employees. The MSPB is designed to be independent of partisan politics and to provide federal employees with an opportunity to appeal adverse and unfair personnel decisions. In order to fulfill its role as an independent and fair system, the MSPB has been carefully organized and its board members have been appointed by the President of the United States.
Organization of the MSPB
In order to understand how your appeal will be processed and decided, it is important to understand how the MSPB is organized. The board members serve in the central Washington D.C. Office where the MSPB is headquartered. Many of the appeals and studies that are conducted by the MSPB occur in Washington where many federal workers are employed.
However, the MSPB recognizes that the federal government employs people in all areas of the country. Accordingly, there are MSPB regional offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia, and San Francisco. There are also field offices in Denver and New York. Administrative law judges hear and decide cases in these offices to make the MSPB process accessible to local federal workers and agencies.
Board Members
Board members are appointed to the MSPB for significant terms. The current Board includes:
Member Mark A. Robbins: Mr Robbins was nominated by President Barack Obama on Dec 5, 2011, and confirmed by the Senate on April 26, 2012. He was confirmed by President Donald Trump on 23 January 2017. Mr Robbins previously worked as a senior provincial law advisor in Iraq prior to his appointment, and has a great deal of experience as the Executive Director of the White House Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board, besides other roles as General Counsel in the government, and practicing attorney in the private sector. At the time of his nomination, Mr. Robbins was the General Counsel of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission. His term ends on March 1, 2018.

How to File an Appeal
One of the MSPB's primary statutory functions is to protect Federal merit systems against partisan political and other prohibited personnel practices by adjudicating employee appeals over which the Board has been given jurisdiction. A list of the matters over which the Board generally has jurisdiction is contained in section An accessible version of this document may exist, click here to access that version Opens a New Window. 1201.3 PDF of Part 1201 of Title 5 of the Code of Federal Regulations (5 C.F.R. § 1201.3) Links to specific sections of the law (United States Code or U.S.C.) and regulations (C.F.R.) are in blue text. (10,018 posts)He is serious and doesnt seem to overstate things just to sell a few books. Even knowing he was risking his job, he set up the Mueller investigation to protect it as much as he could. But now we have Barr on the job for a matter of days and the Mueller investigation is ending. I do not believe in such coincidences. Barr has finally accomplished what Trump wants. Some of the investigations that have been transferred to the states will continue, but I really have to wonder about the suddenness of the conclusion of Muellers work. For example, Roger Stones prosecution has just begun. Manafort hasnt been sentenced. Flynn hasnt been sentenced. This seems like a clear message that says Do not cooperate any more. Mueller is done. i really, really hope Im just imagining things here!
