I noticed dumps face has bloating under his eyes, just curious if he has a medical problem?

Last edited Thu Feb 21, 2019, 07:51 AM - Edit history (3)

Edema is a swelling, usually of the legs, feet, and/or hands due to the accumulation of excessive fluid in the tissues. ... Heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver, venous insufficiency, and a kidney disease called nephrotic syndrome are the most common systemic diseases that cause edema.

Maybe hypothyroid as myxedema gives periorbital edema.

Does not appear to have cirrhosis (and not a drinker - most common cause). Doubt CHF or he wouldn't be playing so much golf. Nephrosis? Hard to know. Venous insuff usually lower extremities, check out his hands and feet in pix if you can.

That's my guess... I've seen patients in various stages of renal failure with very thin puffy bags under the eyes... Can't get the water out so it has to go somewhere.. path of least resistance and all that...

The bags are common symptoms. As portly as he is, the large neck...most people his age have some degree of obstructive apneas happening to begin with. Makes getting good sleep difficult if you aren't fitted with a cpap, and I just don't see him wearing the mask...

Cushing Syndrome occurs when the body is exposed to high levels of the hormone cortisol (“stress hormone”) for a long time. Extended use of steroid medications, like prednisone, can also be a factor.

Symptoms may include:
Weight gain, especially around the midsection
High blood pressure
High blood sugar
Muscle loss and weakness
Swelling of the face
Depression and irritability
Loss of emotional control
Cognitive difficulties

Both of which are central nervous system stimulants, I’m guessing that he takes Adderall before he has to “speak” (if you can call what he does “speaking”), in hopes of increasing his ability to focus, stay energized, pay attention, etc. This could account for his exaggerated behavior and boorishness at his “rallies,” where he blathers on and on, even as the crowds dwindle, and for his non-stop chatter during interviews.

Historical note: Nazi Germany made broad use of the drug Pervitin, which was methamphetamine. Hitler himself used it to “pump up” before his public tirades, and German troops used it in the field to stave off fatigue and to heighten ruthlessness.

I was watching a program about the P-51 fighter in long haul raids on Japan. The pilot said the doc's would give them "benzadrine" to keep them awake and alert on the boring 8 hour flights over water.. .He went from 150 to 120 lbs in a few months...

Don's "swelling" is more likely blobs of fat. Given his vanity, I'm surprised he hasn't had an eye job. As for his color - it could be spray tan, it could be a tanning bed, it could be liver failure. We can only hope.

The President is prescribed 40 mg Rosuvastatin per day, the maximum dosage. Rosuvastatin is mainly an anti-cholesterol medication, but also reduces inflammation and lowers blood-pressure.
