Andrew McCabe Appreciation Thread

This post is in response to an earlier post by Amaryllis:

As a federal employee, I assume that Andrew McCabe's firing is subject to review by the MSPB.

Perhaps if those of us who believe that he has been treated unfairly by the OrangeMan, were to write a letter to the MSPB, it might have an impact on his appeal. I think the guy is very credible and we know that OrangeMan had everything to do with his firing. Also,we all bear witness to how the Orangeman treated him before he was fired and how the Orangeman showed his vindictiveness by speaking ill of McCabe's wife, at a time when McCabe could not freely and address the sicko back. McCabe stated in one of his interviews that Trump asked him how it felt to have a loser for a wife. He's been consistent in his responses during his TV interviews, and I can't imagine what it's like to be in that situation knowing your President is a traitor to his country, and he's coming after you next.

According to the info below, it seems that the current MSPB board only has one Board Member currently, and that info might not be correct. That Board Member was appointed by President Obama, and confirmed by Trump. I intend to send a letter addressed to:

Where to File. A petition for review must be filed in writing with the Clerk of the Board. This can be done via e-Appeal, by fax (202) 653-7130, or by postal mail or commercial or personal delivery at 1615 M Street, NW, Washington, DC 20419.

I think a letter would carry more weight than a fax since someone would have to print out the faxes and I would rather they didn't have to. Wouldn't it be nice if DU would bombard them with tons of letters? I think it would be worth the cost of a postage stamp and it would show that we are standing behind the workers, not Trump.

What is the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB)?

The federal Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) exists to protect the rights of federal civil service employees. The MSPB is designed to be independent of partisan politics and to provide federal employees with an opportunity to appeal adverse and unfair personnel decisions. In order to fulfill its role as an independent and fair system, the MSPB has been carefully organized and its board members have been appointed by the President of the United States.

In order to understand how your appeal will be processed and decided, it is important to understand how the MSPB is organized. The board members serve in the central Washington D.C. Office where the MSPB is headquartered. Many of the appeals and studies that are conducted by the MSPB occur in Washington where many federal workers are employed.

However, the MSPB recognizes that the federal government employs people in all areas of the country. Accordingly, there are MSPB regional offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia, and San Francisco. There are also field offices in Denver and New York. Administrative law judges hear and decide cases in these offices to make the MSPB process accessible to local federal workers and agencies.



Board Members

Board members are appointed to the MSPB for significant terms. The current Board includes:

• Member Mark A. Robbins: Mr Robbins was nominated by President Barack Obama on Dec 5, 2011, and confirmed by the Senate on April 26, 2012. He was confirmed by President Donald Trump on 23 January 2017. Mr Robbins previously worked as a senior provincial law advisor in Iraq prior to his appointment, and has a great deal of experience as the Executive Director of the White House Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board, besides other roles as General Counsel in the government, and practicing attorney in the private sector. At the time of his nomination, Mr. Robbins was the General Counsel of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission. His term ends on March 1, 2018.
