The "primaries" forum . . . question

Isn't it a bit early to be asking people who they are for? To post in that forum, you have to declare who you are for. Really? should people be taking sides before any debates or anything? That seems a bit premature.
Shouldn't it be a discussion about the candidates and not just an advocacy forum even before they have really had time to show themselves?

...to cover people who haven’t made a choice yet. I’m pretty sure you can change it after the fact, as well.

It lets people who post there know your thinking a little bit and is harmless. You can easily pick undecided and function very well in the forum or alternately not use the forum at all. You have several workable options in order to engage there or to not engage.

I could be wrong, though.

They're taking up more than half the screen and cause formatting errors

wa-a-y too early. But regardless of what any of us think, the pre-primary season is upon us; candidates are jumping in, declaring, committing, giving policy speeches. This will only increase as the months go by.

As for the forum itself, there's no requirement to specifically choose a candidate at this early date. Most have jumped in with an 'undecided' moniker. Like myself, I have early candidate leanings--people I simply like and admire. It'll take time before I decide who I think can knock the pins beneath the Trumpster or any other Republican and who is likely to be the best leader, someone to heal and repair the damage that's been done.

Additionally, the new forum frees up the General board for other discussions. Because there's certainly no shortage of subjects and events to talk about. I don't see that changing anytime soon.
