Washington (CNN) -- Robert Mueller's report could land within days, yet rather than offering definitive answers, his hotly anticipated filing might only ignite a new controversy -- over how much of the special counsel's conclusions most Americans get to see.
Sources told CNN on Wednesday that the Justice Department is preparing for Mueller to report to Attorney General Bill Barr as soon as next week after an investigation that started as an attempt to find out whether Trump campaign members conspired with a Russian election meddling effort.
But the big question is how much of what the special counsel concludes -- after an investigation repeatedly blasted as a "hoax" and a "witch hunt" by the President -- will be made public or even sent to Congress.
Whenever it is filed, Mueller's report will mark a critical point in the Trump presidency, given the gravity of the accusations against his team, and offer the theoretical possibility of conclusive answers about the last White House race.
The reclusive former FBI director's findings could also put the United States on the road to a new and divisive impeachment saga, if he finds collusion with Russia and an attempt by the President to obstruct justice to cover it up.

(86,647 posts)we are surely experiencing anything but a scenario of what happened then. There will be only one course that will actually be for the good of the country and that is full transparency and disclosure along with justice actually being served here and now. What happened then led to were we are now.
That scenario is totally unacceptable in this case, period.

(86,647 posts)I think that they may all be set to be unsealed and a bunch of simultaneous arrests immediately following that moment. I expect to be wowed by a conclusive action that law students will marvel over for years hereafter. Hope I'm not disappointed.

(86,647 posts)as the timing here is indicative that a large and simultaneous event may occur.
And I expect that most of the damaging charges are likely to come from jurisdictions where presidential pardon is not an option. The SC knows from who and where these indictments should issue where they can't be messed with by presidential interference. I expect we will be thankful when it all starts to get serious. I think that could be in the next five or so days.

(14,566 posts)There is no question, none, that any indictments that Mueller personally makes (federal) that hit 45 or his family, he will pardon himself or them.
Will it be challenged, maybe.
But, he WILL do it, and there are 4 SCJs who absolutely, 100 percent will NOT over turn his pardons, and one who is about 99% sure not to, it means that however Mueller does it, he is very likely to keep federal indictments of him and his in the pocket until such time as we manage to get the POS out of the white house.
NOW - possible state charges are different, but Mueller can't speak directly for them, he has no power over then, he can only recommend it.

The American people deserve to see the entire report without any blacked out portions, after all, we did elect these people into office to represent the American people.

Use your heads people...
"We cannot risk the collapse of the economy/stock market just because the president/gop committed treason."
How does that rationale sit with everyone?
You better get used to it..it's coming.

The GOP won on this.. We wont the house for 2 years.
The Mueller investigation wont show much and is being curtailed for sure.
meanwhile if a dem farts wrong impeachment will come.. we eat our own.
Dems always get in the way of Dems with little help from GOP.
Also if the Dems continue to investigate after Mueller says nothing found, then we will look like angry bitter partisans.
The DEMS are losing this battle (its what we do best) Time to climb to the top of the hill and take that road and say..."at least we arent dirty" even if we arent winning.
