for jail. They seemed to want a complete gag order.

It looks like jail is what will happen if he violates the now current gag order.

And it wasn't really enough to prove contempt.

And the prosecutors and judge both realized this.

Courts don't really work the way people like to think they work.

You don't really want a system where judges are throwing people in jail for these types of things.

He wants to be tried in the court of public opinion and to gain presidential approbation by his actions. Now he can't do any of it.

9. If he was jailed for intimidation of judge, she would have had to recuse from his case

He desperately wants her off of his case, having seen how tough she has been to Manafort. That was his purpose of the crosshair posting, to goad her into reacting in a way that she would have to recuse herself, as well as fundraising. Instead now if he violates the new totally restrictive gag order, he can be put in jail over violating the gag order rather than for attempting to intimidate the judge and she can remain on his case which Mueller team has linked with the case of indictments of the Russians which she presided over.
