(8,203 posts)message on his answering machine...he must be getting calls for the same condition...he explains because it is so cold, the sound we are hearing is the unit pushing the cold air out of the house...the superstition mountains are too clouded over to see the snow..we are in Phoenix/Mesa area..haven't had rain like this forever...last time I saw snow here was 2007...and it is cold.....stay warm....

(8,203 posts)has gone by before trimming....it is amazing how they always seem to come back..afa cacti - all good.. yuccas okay too..I turned my drip system to delay many days probably through next week.....hopefully we get warming by Sat..and dry..LOL

(12,633 posts)in a four night frost 6 years ago, that it has barely recovered. But I think saguaro can sop up so much water that they become top heavy and keel over. Especially ones that have been transplanted.

(15,805 posts)OK, not very much, just enough to make the ground white for a hour or so, but it was real snow. It's a rare event and we couldn't even remember the last time it snowed here. The big pupper was not impressed.
