Must see video of snow blowing at Mt Rainier this morning

As Chopper 7 was flying to breaking news this morning, photographer Scott Crueger shot this awesome video of Mount Rainier. You can actually see the snow blowing at the top of the mountain. As you can imagine, the top of the mountain often experiences strong winds. The difference earlier today was that the visibility was good enough to actually see the blowing snow.

How strong were the winds blowing? It’s hard to give you an exact number for the summit because there is no observation at that 14,411 foot elevation. The closest observation I can give you is at Camp Muir... just over 10,000 feet. The peak wind gust this morning was at 104 mph.
