"SNIP....
Last summer, for example, the South Carolina Republican not only co-authored legislation to protect Special Counsel Robert Mueller, Graham also drew a line in the sand about Muellers possible findings. Though the senator expressed skepticism about possible collusion between Donald Trump and his Russian benefactors, Graham nevertheless told Politico, [A]t the end of the day, if there is collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians, that will be it for me.
The trouble is, collusion is a political term, which means different things to different people. What would the GOP senator have to see in order to abandon the president whose water hes carried for two years? He shared an extraordinary perspectivewith the New York Times.
Trump, he insisted, knew where he stood on the special counsels Russia investigation.
I told the president that if you colluded with the Russians, if your campaign sat down and worked with foreign intelligence operatives to manipulate the results of the election, thatd be the end of us, Graham said.
....SNIP"

(9,462 posts)qualify that with "if your campaign sat down and worked with foreign intelligence operatives to manipulate the results of the election".
Yeah right, so what if Trump's campaign was standing up and working with foreign intelligence operatives? Also, what if they were foreigners, with malicious intent, but weren't "intelligence operatives"? And the "manipulate" the results. Does that mean cheat or just help him get elected?
There is so much bullshit in Graham's qualification of his first sentence, that no one can honestly say he's changed his mind about Trump/Russia.
He wants it on the record, the day before the Cohen testimony no less, that he won't support Trump if Trump colluded with Russia. Well, not really. He wants you to think that. What he said is that he'd done with Trump IF "his campaign sat down and worked with foreign intelligence operatives.....blah blah blah" I can't believe MSNBC gave Graham the forum to save his own azz.
