She wanted to know how I could expect health care workers to work for NO PAY!?!?!?
This made my head hurt so I told her to educate herself, and then get back to me.

That particular hospital was sold to a for-profit group who quickly discovered that they could not make a profit in our area and 5 years later, sold it again to a non-profit group.

(11,738 posts)I worked for a non-profit organization that provided services to developmentally disabled people. Our Executive Director made $130,000 per year. The average staff made between $40,000 and $65,000 per year. You can make a living off of the work. The goal of the organization however, is not to get rich.
