So, a humiliated, groveling Trump is sent packing, and the DKRP got

1.) A US President to say we wouldn't seek verification of denuclearization
2.) A US President to say there was "no hurry" for them to denuclearize
3.) A US President to praise Mr. Kim for being a "great leader" and babble on about their lovely beaches
4.) A US President to utterly debase himself with obsequious prattle about "being in love" with the Dear Leader

Mr.Kim took the big boy chair away from Trump. He won't be giving it back.

... the seated side-by-side handshake photo never looks that good for the person seated on the camera's left who has to reach across his/her own body and turn away from the cameras for the handshake. (Like those Oval Office photos with foreign leaders that always feature Donnie in the chair on the right...)

someone from the State Dept would have squashed the baby chair arrangement long before it became another humiliting insult to the US.

Stuff like seating arrangements and dinner service is planned and agreed to long before two leaders would meet. This is what happens when Trump thinks he can micromanage everything despite his lack of knowledge and experience. The incompetence comes baked in and we get photos like this that make Trump look like a buffoon.

"only spoke for himself, and never for the USA; and we KNOW that EVERYONE -- both our friends and enemies -- already know this, and ALWAYS knew this, given how OBVIOUSLY they attempted to bribe or otherwise manipulate him."

There's a long history of the US honoring it's prior commitments regardless of who is in power. For THAT VERY REASON, Trump's abandonment of our prior commitments must be repudiated by reverting to honoring our prior commitments before him, NOT by misguidedly trying to hold to any path he tried to set (not that there is a coherent one anyway).
