Why has Matt "Five Angels" Gaetz not been arrested, asked to resign, removed from office?

I appreciate that the Florida Bar is investigating. But not only did he publicly tweet intimidation of a witness, he doubled down on it with reporters, and only removed it when Madame Speaker brought a hammer down. He also showed up in the hearing room yesterday and stood where the witness could see him, and walked in and out of the room several times. Still sending messages to the witness? Did Cohen hold back on something because you were there?

I fear this behavior is going to be considered normal.

Saying your sorry doesn't remove what you did.

Gaetz is Tom Hagen. I wonder if Hagen er Gaetz will visit Cohen and explain how Romans reclaimed honor for their houses.

He's one of the dozen Fredos who THINK they're Hagen in Trump's world.

He's the Fredo sent out to "handle it" because the slightly more competent Fredos were busy - and he handled it exactly the way Fredo would have.

It's ok if you are a Russian Asset.

As an aside, I happened to see them trying to pull the trigger on this particular threat yesterday morning on Faux and Frauds.

The topic was the Gaetz threat and one of the babbling heads asked an interviewee, "You're down in Florida, what's going on there with Cohen?" and the reply was pretty weak.

Witnesses were shocked to see him there....he had no purpose in being there....

He made sure that he stood along the wall off camera, but within sight of Cohen.....When asked what he was doing there, he stated "Being a Member of Congress".

He doesn't sit on the committee and wasn't part of the hearing. If he truly was sorry for the tweet and threat he sent to Cohen (which was clearly a threat and meant to intimidate a witness) it would seem that the last place he should have been is in that hearing yesterday and my guess it was in fact to intimidate Cohen further.

I hope he is investigated and disbarred and charged.
