IIRC, that's the legalese for helping someone avoid justice after they commit the crime in question.

They like him, his racism, his views and his policies. He may be a lying, imbecilic crook and Constitution-hating autocrat who embodies many of the ideals they despise; but he’s making the left miserable so they support him unconditionally.

what he does that they like.

So far, even his most egregious acts haven't directly affected his people, so they soldier on in his defense.

If reader comments in major news outlets online are any indicator, there is a constant theme of delight in cruelty among Trumpists:

Etc., etc. You’d think it’s all they live for, to see Democrats/progressives suffer in some regard.

Main Stream Media, while being "The Press" is first and foremost, a money making enterprise. They've followed this trainwreck of an individual forever. tRump is media friendly. He spouts off soundbites, simply because of his inability to phrase sentences using more than a few words. Plus, this azzhat is forever talking about himself, giving the 'news' even more to comment/report on to the general public, who eat this crap for 3 meals a day.

Sad to say, but even Major Network are more like Faux News now, than ever.
