Something the media and ALL OF US need to start drilling into people's heads:

despite what Chris Christie implied just now (with Nicole Wallace) the standard in impeachment is NOT "guilty beyond a reasonable doubt." That's the standard in a criminal trial.

In an impeachment proceeding, it's whatever the jurors -- i.e., the Senators -- decide. And they are NOT required to keep an unethical, lying, corrupt President in the absence of proof of serious crimes beyond a reasonable doubt.

This was how they hoodwinked the American public with Kavanaugh. They convinced Americans that he was entitled to the job as long as he couldn't be proven to be guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. But that wasn't right. He should have been required to live up to that position of trust; he wasn't entitled to it.

Let's not make the same mistake with Trump. If it looks very likely that he conspired with Russians, or that he betrayed the country in some other way, that's enough. We don't have to be 95% sure.

the host needs to ask him how he feels about Bridgegate, i.e. running around free while his minions got sent up the river.

what it is about Bruce Springsteen's music that appeals to him, because every single thing the Boss writes and sings about is completely contrary to Chris Christie's actions and apparent belief system.

The disconnect there for me is so huge that I can't comprehend it.

He all but dares anyone to contradict him. Bloated asshole. I hope they catch up to him one of these days. He thinks he is too smart to get caught. Especially so after Bridgegate. But sooner or later his ego will trip him up and he will be caught.

He was on with Good Morning America this morning also. Why? Why does anything he says matter?
