(32,639 posts)At least he'll back up what Michael Cohen says about the Trump Moscow plans. Sater was in on it from the beginning. He probably knows about Chump laundering some Russian money too.

(6,831 posts)Allen Weisselberg, C F O of the Trump Organization. THIS is the one man Spanky DOES NOT want to appear before the committee and testify. Weisselberg knows EVERYTHING about the money. EVERYTHING.

Rumor has it today that hell plead the fifth, and as Spanky himself says, ONLY MOBSTERS PLEAD THE FIFTH, hmmmm

(6,831 posts)They better tape Weisselberg's testimony lest they miss anything. This man is a treasure trove of information. And he also knows what's in those pesky tax returns Spanky doesn't want anyone to see.
I was reminded of something this morning. Years ago, when the Friar's Club wanted to do a roast of Trump, they asked him if ANYTHING was off the table, so to speak. The only exemption from him was his "wealth and how much money he had or was worth." Seems suspicious now, doesn't it ?

(7,814 posts)when busted and sentenced...he was given a light sentence because it was shown he was working behind the scenes for a US agency. Undercover I guess. I believe the Obama administration argued on his behalf.
Is he a mole in the Trump Org? Was he playing both sides? Is he a good guy or bad guy?

(13,524 posts)Andrew Weissmann helped oversee the bizarre Felix Sater case--
Weissmann has a reputation as a fierce prosecutor, having headed up the Justice Departments Enron Task Force. Before that, as an assistant US attorney in the Eastern District of New York, he pursued cases targeting Mafia wise guys and Russian organized crime members.
As a prosecutor in the Eastern District, Weissmann signed a 1998 cooperation agreement between the US government and Felix Sater, a violent felon and securities trader who had pleaded guilty to financial crimes. Sater went on to become a confidential informant for the FBI and a Trump business partner. During the years in which Sater was secretly cooperating with the Feds, he was also engaging in key real estate ventures with Trump. This included scouting for deals in Russia and Eastern Europe, projects that never materialized. Trump has consistently claimed that his business empire has nothing to do with Russia. Yet Saters intriguing tale represents at least one important Russia connection for Trump.[/div
