Maxine Waters has received new info showing how Trump used his foundation to avoid paying taxes

Maxine Waters reveals she’s received new information showing how Trump used his foundation to avoid paying taxes

...................

Hayes asked Waters if she agreed with moves by Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal (D-MA) to obtain Trump’s tax returns.

“Absolutely,” Waters replied. “This president has lied about his tax returns.”

“He said they were being audited and because of that he could not share them, but he’s never intended to share his tax returns, because he knows we’re going to find out a lot about him when he does, and the lies he’s been telling,” she explained.

Then Waters dropped a bombshell of her own.

“What I really want to know is whether or not he performed services that he got paid for, he did not want to pay taxes on them and told people to put the money in the foundation,” Waters noted. “I believe there’s a lot of evidence on that.”

“I’ve even got calls for people close to this information, sharing it with me and it may be information I give to the Ways and Means Committee,” she revealed

“Soon we’ll see how to work it, but there’s a lot of information about how it was used or misused,” Waters added.

So she posited that Trump and company instead of being paid had the money go to
the Trump Foundation which was supposed to be for charity in order to launder the
money and keep it off the books?

IIRC, it was reported that NBC paid at least part of Trump's "Apprentice" salary to the Trump Foundation. This was pretty early on in 2016, maybe as part of the general reporting associated with David Farenthold's reporting on the Trump Foundation for the WP.

for work Maxine is doing and information being provided to Maxine by concerned parties? Did you read the article?

The questions AOC asked were probably written by someone else and were the result of a joint effort by the committee members. Surely you don't think that a freshman committee member was allowed to ask questions that were not vetted by Cummings and other senior members of the committee.

and I'm pretty sure it didn't result from questions asked by AOC.
