If you have access to Netflix, watch "Get Me Roger Stone". As it reviews Stone's life,

it explains when the Repug Party changed, who was responsible for changing it, and how Roger & lots of other familiar names in politics are still operating the Party.

Believe me, I'm no fan of Stone, but this documentary gives great insight into most of the things we complain about now.

evil, mean & nasty one right after Nixon, and the majority if not the really dirty tricks can be traced back to Atwater & Stone. It seems that it's been enough years now that none of the rational ones are left. They've all either died off or were tossed out of office.

I sure don't like Stone, but I feel it was important for me to see his history. I'm glad I watched it.
