it explains when the Repug Party changed, who was responsible for changing it, and how Roger & lots of other familiar names in politics are still operating the Party.
Believe me, I'm no fan of Stone, but this documentary gives great insight into most of the things we complain about now.

Seriously, sometimes I think watching this kind of program will be cathartic and validating--when all they do is leave me intensely stressed.

(16,887 posts)...the driving force behind what we now have seen for the last 50 years in GOP politics and dirty campaigning and creating PAC's and gave birth to the lobbying in Washington (particularly foreign lobbying) as we know it.....
Make sure you have some antacid nearby to help with the indigestion watching it will cause....

(45,806 posts)evil, mean & nasty one right after Nixon, and the majority if not the really dirty tricks can be traced back to Atwater & Stone. It seems that it's been enough years now that none of the rational ones are left. They've all either died off or were tossed out of office.
I sure don't like Stone, but I feel it was important for me to see his history. I'm glad I watched it.
