if these voter-suppression laws go into effect, and a large number of people who don't know about the changes show up at the polls on election day and are turned away. An awful lot of people don't follow the news and, despite efforts of voter registration groups, might not even know about this until too late.

So thousands of people show up at the polls without the required ID and they are not allowed to vote. The poll judges tell them they have to leave. What will happen then? Will there be confrontations?
