Do you really think tRump will try to start a Civil War if not reelected?

Cohen's friend Donny Deutche keeps saying that he knows the moron and fully expects that he will tell his deplorables to take up arms when he leaves office and under any circumstance (whether he is jailed, forced to resign or isn't reelected). I have heard this from many pundits over the past few months but I don't buy it.

A civil war started by trump would be trying to over throw the government. The FBI and AGs all over the country would seek them out.

The government agencies would not obey trump in that event.

Congress and the Supreme Court would not give their power over to trump. This is not 1930s Germany.

It's more like 1923, when Hitler had his failed Beer Hall Putsch. For trying overthrow the government, he got a 5 year sentence of which he served 9 months. He got such a short sentence because he had a sympathetic judge. He took the time in jail to write Mein Kampf.

I don't think Trump will succeed. But he has helped create more deplorables, who will be waiting for a smarter leader.

No one man has ever been, nor ever will be strong enough to fight off an army.

However what dictators do is build loyal supporters, both in the civilian and military population.

Then when revolution is triggered, its civilians vs civilians, military vs military and cops vs cops.

I honestly think that Trump will leave office quietly. Just like Bush did (I remember all the DU speculation about Bush not leaving).

However civil wars NEVER happen as predicted. (If they did, they would quashed quickly when law enforcement rolls up)

I honestly hope that nothing horrible happens, but I think it would be wise to prepare for the worst and take action to prevent or at least mitigate it.

They are going to take up arms and invade where exactly? How exactly would a "civil war" work without defined and drawn out lines? Do they think folks got time to take off from Rinky Dinky Dog, Pop Copy and S-Mart? Well? Of course they don't have the time because the country isn't set up for that.

The folks that have higher paying jobs and are doing relatively ok aren't going to take up arms and sacrifice their well being for his stupidity. The extent of what they are willing to do stops at the ballot box. trump and the republicans are their proxy to hurt "others". By and far they are too damn craven to act on their own. If they were so bold they wouldn't have lied so damn much about who they were going to vote for in 2016.

Beyond that somebody has to make sure the wife/husband, kids and grandma/grandpa have their rents paid, and food put on the table. They live in states where the people they voted for have gutted any possibility of people making living wages or having social backstops without shit to hang people up. So, again, they simply don't have the time to go farting around with shit like "civil wars".

Don't get me wrong tho. There are probably going to be a number of idiots who are too damn stupid for reality. These momos will "make an attempt". They will get their feefes hurt and their asses tossed in the klink. Remember how they got all ill and shit after trump was elected and decent people fought back? They started crying about why the "tolerant left wasn't tolerant". Hell, they started complaining about how they couldn't get dates anymore.

Summary: trump will try, a few dummies will make the attempt(and go to jail) and we'll keep on keeping on.

.... I am talking about the wide scope of what is considered a civil war. How are they going to tell who to shoot. There will be no uniforms, and there will be no regimented armies. Will they shoot they're brothers, sisters, mothers, father's, children who may not agree with their politics? My only living brother who lives in the same town I do and is about as right wing as you can get will not come to my house and shoot me because he knows I am a liberal Democrat .
While you may have some who will fall on the wrong side of history, I feel pretty confident that the majority of police forces, National Guard, FBI, and the military will fall on the right side of history. I believe we will find that most of these dip shits are cowards, and I believe they will severely underestimate their opponents strength and resolve. If Trump loses the election, which he will, and if it comes down to it what we will see is the proper authorities frog marching Trump out of the White House and straight to the courthouse. While some may, on a scale of 1 to 10, peg the mayhem at 9 or 10, I would peg it closer to 1 or 2.

They won't have the resources if anything starts to develop and grow so they will squash it.

I don't think he can imagine a world where he would lose reelection. He may try to stay in power by force, although I doubt he would be successful. As for citizens taking up arms for him in large enough numbers to constitute civil war, I think most of he deplorables are more bark than bite, though I would fully expect some of them to take up arms for their precious. Of course, all of this is conjecture. With that temper and diet of his, Trump may well stroke out or have a massive heart attck by then. Then we'd be left with his vice president, who has less charisma than a dial tone, and would likely have to fight mightily to hold onto several red states.
