Calling a Black POTUS married 25 yrs to 1 wife with 2 children, no mistresses, affairs or scandals, ‘the antichrist’ but a white POTUS married thrice, 5 kids by 3 women, mistresses, affairs & scandals, ‘God‘s anointed,’ proves your religion is only a front for white supremacy.

I don't remember the author offhand, but he started off by saying that if you're looking to justify liberation, you can find support for that in the Bible. If you're looking to justify slavery, you can find Bible verses that will support that, too. He listed off several other examples as well.

His point was that using the Bible as justification for a principle was pointless; he advocated justifying one's principles as Christ-like or not Christ-like. It was a pretty good essay, and helped improve my thinking on the subject. Is racism (for instance) biblical? Yeah. Is racism Christ-like? You'll have difficulty justifying that.
