It was to be expected. Well, by me at least it was

Now NEXT week .... That lady judge will probably throw the book at him.

Won't be pretty IMHO.

Bottom line, the unapologetic asshole will probably die in jail, given his increasing health issues.

Giving polling data to a foreign adversary, selling influence, promoting murderous thug dictators, collusion, tax fraud, I could go on and on. The two mentioned cheated people and are terrible but it's obvious to any thinking person that a traitorous, multiple felon like Manafort is much worse.

In the US legal system, people get sentenced for the crimes for which they were convicted. In this instance, it was five counts of filing false tax returns, two counts of tax fraud and one count of failing to disclose a foreign bank account.

Should he have a substantially longer sentence? Absolutely. Has it been proven that he committed white collar crimes worse than Bernie Madoff? Not even close.

We KNOW what he has done and to pretend that his other behaviors, such as lying to the special prosecutor and not accepting responsbility for the crimes he has been convicted of, yes that is worse than Madoff. Not even close.
