(31,261 posts)His recent history is to oppose mandatory sentences, someone posted that he helped a person that was likely Black get a sentence short of the 82 year minimum for the crimes that he was convicted of.
It is possible that the Judge sentenced Manafort in a way that would not cause Trump to issue a pardon, knowing that possibility existed. I would not be surprised if the DC Judge don't use the same reasoning, sentence Manafort long enough to make a pardon by Trump a foolish act.

(4,187 posts)If you know anything about narcissists, you know that they don't like losers. This ruling makes it more likely that Trump will pardon Manafort. JMHO.
